Or something to use (without it looking stupid) so my fishies dont jump out. Its a really odd shape tank. It was originally used for water plants and I got it for free and going to use it for fish now.
also at the top part theres an extra 2 inches around the tank. i guess that would be concidered the roof (i dont know what else to call it).would it matter if the hood sit on it. like i said its only 2 inches and the tank is acrylic. would it burn?
My aquarium is 21 inches long and 17 inches wide. is there a hood out there to fit it?
Not sure at the moment, but, you could just go to a glass shop and pay like 6 bucks for them to cut you a piece that'll fit to whatever shape you need. Attach a handle and put a light fixture up top and you can call it a day!
Reply:I agree with the previous poster. Have the glass cut to fit your tank and then put a strip light (below) on top of that. You will want them to bevel the edges so they arent sharp.
