Is the Tiny Mice/Cuphea rosea a perennial? If not, can it be transplanted to a pot for the winter?

This plant grows to 10-14 inches and is used in beds, borders and large containers. It has petite, bright red flowers from summer to early fall and is very heat tolerant. I live in zone 7.

This plant is a Annual / Perennial depending on where you live. If you really like the blooms and wish to see them longer you can try and transplant just be sure to clean of thoroughly before bringing it inside. It may carry bugs that you can or can't see, they might transfer to other house plants and possibly kill them off. Transplant on the first sign of frost so even if it dosent survive inside at least you will get the beauty outside to the last possible minute before dying.
Reply:Cuphea is a shrub. It is however from a warmer climate and frost will kill. I cant see why you cant pot it for winter just needs sun and watch the frost.
