hi i just potted up a baby aloe plant but the root on it was very long and when i was putting it in the pot i accidently broke off about 3 inches of the root their is still root on it but will it be alright? i havent had much luck with aloes
Aloe plant?
That baby aloe of yours is going to spend the next while concentrating its efforts on generating root growth so don't get discouraged if you don't see any top growth.

Aloes can be fairly resiliant...If you have a good 3" of root and the plant isn't too large, it should be okay...If it wilts at first, don't give up on it...It may need a bit of recovery time.
Reply:As long as there is some root left, it should be fine. It will produce more roots.
