I received this plant from my sister-in-law. It came from Lompoc CA. I looks like a suculent. Its a brownish colored stalk about a foot and a half tall with two small branches that get a very dark maroonish purple flower with kind of rubbery petals. Flowers are about 3-inches in diameter. I know that this plant grew indoors but she also had one outside that was considerably larger. If you know what I've got, I really need a little help with TLC.
Can someone help me figure out what this plant is?

Reply:If your sister-in-law sent it to you why not just ask her what it is and ask her to suggest ways to care for it? She would probably be glad you are interested.
