ID this plant?? (photo)?
It looks like fennel!! It grows like weeds in some locations -- however, we have to pay for it in our vegetable stores here in California!!
The stalk is great (cooked) in dishes!

Reply:I agree with the others - looks like Fennel. It should have a smell of anniseed when crushed.
Reply:My money's on fennel. Break some off, rub it between your fingers. If it smells like aniseed; it's fennel.
Reply:Does it smell a little like licorice? If so, it's fennel. It could be dill if it doesn't smell like licorice when crushed. I don't think cosmos, the leaves are too fine for that.
