What kind or how much foods, water, or temperature is needed for sweet corn?

Please know that this is a project that i am doing. The plant right now is about 2 inches tall, and is planted in a gatorade bottle (this is only temperary). Another question i have is when or how often should i move the plan to another pot. (i know that this plant should be planted outside, however i am doing a project so this has to be brought in to class). Thank you for your help!!

Ideally, corn should be planted in the ground and not re-planted. If you have to be able to take your plant to school, then I would only transplant it once (as soon as possible) into a large pot with fast draining soil. It needs to put down roots.

Corn likes full sun (all day), regular water (don't let the soil dry out, but it should not be mushy wet) and a little fertilizer. If there is a warm corner of your garden, with full sun, that is where I would put your plant.

I don't believe that you will be able to actually get an ear of corn on your corn stalk, since you only have one stalk. Corn is usually planted close together with cross-fertilization between the plants. If you have several buddies from your class, perhaps you can put your pots close together to get the pollination that you need!

Good Luck!!
