How often should we give a bug to Jon's Venus Fly Trap?

The plant has about 8 traps and is about 4 inches across.

How often should we give a bug to Jon's Venus Fly Trap?
I have one with 12 traps. I feed it crickets from the pet store (pinheads) once a week. I only feed 1/3 of the traps at a time. I have had it for 3 years now and it has blossomed once. Maybe I am just lucky but this method has worked for me! GOOD LUCK!
Reply:You are not suppose to feed it bugs. The plant will catch them on their own. Once you start giving it bugs, the plant starts to die. its like against the plants natural instincts.
Reply:Do not feed it bugs. If you do, the trap that is fed the bug will die. If you kill all the traps the plant will die. Just give it a drop of beef broth. The trap will open again in about three days.
