How do you make a tree grow faster?

I have planted an oak tree from an acorn in March, it is growing in a pot, and is now about five inches tall and has five leaves.

I am planning to plan it in my yard as soon as I feel it is big enough and able to survive on its own(probably in July or August)

What can I do to make it grow faster, healthier, stronger and even?

How do you make a tree grow faster?
apply fertilzer, water and under 2 inches of compost. The plant should not be planted in July or August because of the excessive heat, it would be better to plant the oak tree now. Soil test can be used to get a good fertilzation program.
Reply:Maples grow fast. Oaks are slow. But an uncle who is a doctor wanted his trees to grow fast. He used Jobes tree spikes and put the around the trees. You could shave off some on one of these spikes aound the tree you are growing but not near the trunk. Report It
Reply:Scrap about 1/8tea spoon off and use even less than that to fertilize your tree. while its small. But don't try to force the tree as much once it is around 6/7 feet tall. Oaks have deep tap roots unlike pines which are shallow roots. So let the oak grow slow after that. Report It
Reply:you cant you have to water it and give it light and let it do what it can
Reply:It's been said that music vibrations will cause the roots go grow faster, hence the plant grows faster. Put in on a speaker and crank it up. Some water and plant fertlizer will help also
Reply:Wow, you have picked one of the slowest growing plants to work with. Plants need plenty of sunlight, but they also need darkness also.

The best you can do is 14-16 hrs grow light, plent of water and fertilizer.
Reply:This is no Joke, play classical, uplifting music for it. I've done that and it really helped!
Reply:This might sound somewhat undramatic but trees grow best by growing at their normal rate. Give it normal day light and sufficient water and it will grow at the correct rate for an oak tree. If you try to push it along it may not be healthy and after a couple of years might look a litle different to what an oak should.

Reply:grow lamps ( before moving it out ). Good plant food helps too, but LIGHT is the key....
Reply:Make sure it has enough nutrient-rich soil

Even? Use stakes-two to four

With fruit trees, there is an old custom that has merit-

every spring hit the trunk with a board (or some other sturdy flat thing that won't harm the tree).

It's supposed to help it grow faster and stronger.
Reply:there are some nutrients that you can get from a plant store or nursery that may be able to help.
Reply:ok, why are you trying to grow a tree? they take YEARS upon YEARS upon YEARS to grow.

but you should put it outside or by the window and make sure it is well-watered. add some root fertilizer or something to it to make the roots stronger and grow bigger.

but other than that, i cant help ya.
Reply:deep root fertilizer.Call a local tree service
