How long does it take tulips to grow and bloom?

I planted my bulbs in December. Currently they have sprouted and the tallest is about 3-4 inches high. From this point in time will they be able to bloom by May?

I don't know where you live, but tulips are already up. If you are in extreme northeast, they will probably bloom late March or early April. If you are in the south, you might get blooms this year, but not next year. The leaves will grow, but you will not get any blooms. Tulips do not do well in the south. In the south, it is best to plant fresh new bulbs each year because the flower is already formed inside the bulb.
Reply:Sooner, late March through April
