If you go to a garden store or home depot, they have a flat round thing that is made out of cork. It's about 10 inches in diameter, and you place your plant pot on top of it, so it protects the surface where you place your plant.
My guess is it's some sort of mat or rug or placer..... I'm trying to look for it on the web, but I am not sure what this thing is called.

i'm not sure the name, however i know what u r talkign about. try calling home depot, or another store explain to them what u r looking for and see if they can name it. get a price check or whatever,,, then go online :)
