Can red tailed sharks be added to a tank of south african cichlids?

We've got a 75gallon tank.. with cichlds we've had for about a year or so.

Just purchased a few red tailed sharks, and the small tank we had them sprung a leak. Can these sharks be put in with our cichlids? We have 3 sharks, all young (about an inch long or so).

There are lots of hiding places in the tank (plants, rocks etc etc)

Thanks for any help offered!

They should be fine. I bought a baby and kept it with my cichlids. He seemed very happy in his home, he got about 4 inches long! I never had any problem, just watch them. If there seems to be a problem try to get them a new tank.
Reply:yes because theyll leave them alone just make sure to keep an eye on them and i wouldnt make it a permanent home
