Does the more you cut and use aloe vera, the more it reproduces?

Ok, so ive just bought an 3 aloe vera plants in a pot from walmart, i bought them to grow them and use them now summer is coming up, the tallest leaf is about 12 inches, when is the best time to cut them? and if i cut them often will the plant bring up new leaves more frequently? Thanks for your help!

I suppose you know that juice which you can squeeze out of the fat leaves is excellent for treating bruises and gashes on the skin.
