And for all the people who spend alot of money buying watermelon and tomato seeds from the nursery grow yourfresh just get the seeds from tomatoes put it in a jar with water shake the pulp off plant transplant BOOM. good tomato germination for planting! Also get a watermelon crack it open get the dang seeds out and plant em simple as that!!dont go to the nursery for any fruit seeds use the ones fresh from the fruit!

The answer to your question is yes, a coffee can makes a good flower pot, so long as you punch some holes in the bottom for drainage. It also helps to plant tomato and pepper transplants deep, so that the cotyledons are at the soil surface. This will give you thicker stems on your plants.
