My Orange tree in my back yard has a strange growth?

Starting at the trunk of the tree there is a huge second plant growing out of it. The leaves are similar, but not the same. It is a single VERY tall branch with thorns, about 1 1/2 inches long. Any Idea what this might be?

thats one for the book , it ,your orange tree has mothered a child. With thorns means it will be a wild child.
Reply:Dirty little pickers hahahaha thanks Report It
Reply:no clue but it may just be the offspring of a tree near that tree
Reply:Hi.Well i think may be you had to prune the tree.May be it needs vitamins? i am not that sure.i think its best to get a gardener to see the tree.Sure they will understand better.
Reply:oh wow. i hope your orange tree did not mate with an apricot tree because that's just not natural. take it to the vet as soon as possible.
