I bought some hyacinths, daffodills, and tulips from Wal Mart. Will these come back?

I am concerned because I had to plant the plants the same depth they were in the pot, but the bulbs should be planted 4 to 8 inches depending on the bulb. Will these winter over, or once the tops die back, should I dig them and plant them deeper. Thank you

Yeah, they will come back though you may want to put them deeper whene they die back. Daffodils are reliable though tulips eventuall die out after a few years.
Reply:depends on where you live. bulbs need a period of dormancy. place them in a paper bag over the summer and replant them in the fall
Reply:You can leave them. They will be fine. i bought potted bulbs of Daffodils and tulips and planted them myself as well. it depends on how far down you planted them. if they are really close to the surface i would dig them up again and replant once there season is over. then to prepare for the winter (depending on if you get snow or cold weather) in fall i would lay some fallen leaves on top of them to protect them from the cold and snow and remove them again in early spring when they are set to come up. other than that if you have planted them about 4 inches down you should be fine. Daffodils and tulips grow in the wild and do just fine. I live In BC Canada and we had many daffodils that grew naturally in our farm fields and were not tended to at all. They came back every year. I hope this helps.
