Reply:ZZ plants are pretty tough. Go no bigger than a couple of inches. The bigger the container the wetter it stays for longer periods of time which the zz doesnt like. Put a bit of potting mix in the bottom of the container, put the plant in the center and fill the void in with more potting mix. Water it and then add some more mix where the soil has sunken in.
