What plants could I have in my tank???

I have a 30 gallon tank that I am going to set up and cycle. It is 30 inches long, by 12 inches wide, by 18 inches tall. I have a 24 inch flourescent light on the top, but I have no idea what the wattage is. I would like a planted tank. Any suggestions for plants would be great. Thanks!

I have a 29 gallon tank and i have JAVA FERN I really like it. I also have a fluorescent light on top. And its doing really well. I have heard its a good plant for begins and for almost any lighted tank and grows in almost any kind of water.

I put a couple links below. Hope this is helpful

Good Luck
Reply:any plants will be fine, the more common being java ferns, amazon swords, etc.. These are fine in most lighting and really dont require co2 or iron enriched substrate.

Anabuis nana is my personal favorite, it is rather expensive as plants go but worth the extra money. They are a hard leaf plant so fishes dont eat it, very forgiving.. Doesnt require anything.

I still have some that are over 6 years old which is long for me!

So they might be something to look into, they are a smaller forground plant so take that into consideration when planting. Remember to plant smaller plants in the front and taller plants in the back to give the tank depth.
Reply:I like, Anubias, Java Fern, Wisteria, and Amazon swords. I also think dwarf lillies are very cool.

All these are easy to take care of.

Theres alot of plants you could plant, Becuase i dont know how many watts, try going with stronger, low light plants that can survive in whatever you have. I personally like the anubias. plant, it is very hardy and my fich leave it alone. except for my pleco. then the elodius is also strong. Youll also need to get fertilizer for your plant.
