I'm embarrased to say, as long as I have had this plant, I'm not sure what it is called. It has 7 broad leaves on one thin "stalk" or branch, (about 20 of these branches) and they all go into 3 larger branches that are about 1 inch thick. The leaves are solid green and bright in color. The plant is over 6 feet tall and even the newer leaves are splitting in the middle and cracking. There are a few perfect round holes out of some of the leaves as well. The plant is in a South window with nice light. The pot is large and I have used fertilizer sticks. Cats are NOT bothering it, or grandchildren. Not ALL of the leaves have this "condition", and I don't want this to spread everywhere. Maybe this plant is a sheffalera (SP?). A local nursery can't figure this one out, but I don't think they are too competent anyway. I should go to the library and look the plant up, then I could give the name, at least. Sorry. Can anyone help
(from this disfunctional discription) ? Thanks
